Project Description

Introduction

Water management at a data processing center is a serious undertaking, requiring precise planning and execution. Our long-term client approached us to design the reinforced concrete structures for the wastewater treatment plant at their data processing center. This project required advanced collaboration between teams and the use of modern modeling and documentation tools.

Spatial Modeling and Reinforcement Statics

Working with the 3D Revit model and reinforcement guidelines (reinforcement statics) provided by the client, we began by thoroughly familiarizing ourselves with the documentation and project requirements. The spatial model allowed us to accurately understand the geometry of the structures, which was crucial for the next stage of work.

Use of Allplan Software

The project was executed using Allplan software, which enabled us to model the reinforcement in 3D, adapting it to the complex geometry of the structures. Thanks to the advanced features of this software, we were able to precisely plan the placement of reinforcing bars, which is essential for complex reinforced concrete structures.

Creation of Reinforcement Drawings and Steel Schedules

After completing the modeling, we conducted a thorough internal review of the created model. We then produced reinforcement drawings and steel schedules, which were an integral part of the project documentation. The accuracy and precision of these drawings were crucial for the success of the entire project.

Documentation Review

As part of the project, our scope also included reviewing the documentation according to the client’s procedures. This was essential to ensure that all aspects of the project met the client’s expectations and requirements.

Documentation for the Belgian Market

An additional challenge was creating documentation for the Belgian market, adhering to the expected standards and colors of the bars in the drawings. Thanks to our experience and knowledge of international standards, we were able to meet these requirements, delivering documentation that meets the highest quality standards.

Summary

The implementation of the reinforced concrete structures for the wastewater treatment plant at the data processing center for our long-term client was a demanding but rewarding task.
